Capturing new perspectives — a brand evolution and toolkit for an expanded contest.
For 2024-25, the contest evolved to elevate its film categories to be at the forefront for the first time in its history, and needed an updated identity to match. We developed branding and a visual language to support the transformation, building in motion to engage audiences and help them see things from a different angle.
The new logo and design system are constructed around angular forms, layered planes, and a sense of movement, creating a 3D-like space that invites audiences to discover hidden meanings and unseen perspectives.
Contemporary and flexible, the new toolkit was purpose-built for today’s media environments — from social channels to immersive digital displays, and the certificates and trophies awarded to winners.
Photography and moving imagery naturally take centre stage in the identity. The design system itself is relatively stripped back, providing the framework for showcasing entrants’ work in a digital ‘metaverse’ gallery.
